The PED 1780 is a sound level meter for determining daily noise exposure LEX,8h and LCpeak. This device can be expanded with sensors for measuring air quality.

- Anti-Knock & Vibration System: the PED 1780 recognizes and removes interference noise caused by touching the microphone.
- Correction for wearing hearing protection during measurement: enter the SNR of the hearing protection worn on the device or select the hearing protection worn from a list of available models. The measured sound dose will then already make a correction for the hearing protection worn.
- Motion detection: the PED 1780 uses a built-in motion sensor to detect when someone is no longer wearing the device on their body.
