Weather shield for PAMBRY PED 1780 air quality meter
Our weather shield is designed to protect and power the PED 1780 air quality meter during prolonged outdoor measurements.
The PED 1780 air quality meter is placed centrally in the protective weather shield so that it is protected from rain and overheating by the sun. The shape and construction of this weather shield ensures natural airflow to allow air quality measurements to be taken accurately.
The included solar panel ensures that the internal battery of the PED 1780 air quality meter can be recharged during the day.

Our calculations and tests in Western Europe show that the included 10W solar panel is usually sufficient to charge the internal battery of the PED 1780 air quality meter throughout the year.
When using the PED 1780 PM particulate matter sensor and the cloud upload function, a more powerful setup will be required. In that case, we recommend the HSE Battery 5V with the HSE Solar charger for use with a larger solar panel.
